A Decay of Camelot Story: by Tex

I’m sitting at my computer one day minding my own business when I get what I thought was spam in my inbox on myspace. I opened my mail and realized it was from a buddy of mine asking me to join a game called Decay of Camelot. I ignored him and went on with my normal routine of checking my mail and updating my page. The next day rolls around and again I receive another email from my buddy saying how great this game is and that I should check it out.

Once again I ignored him. A few days go by and luckily no more badgering emails from my buddy, when I get another email from a different friend telling me to check out Decay of Camelot. I couldn’t believe I received two emails about this game when I really don’t play games a whole lot. So I said what the hell. This is the day my addiction began.

I found the Decay of Camelot application and downloaded it and began to play. I looked around for about an hour and I’m pretty sure a few people put me in the hospital because at that time it was still a fairly new game. I didn’t know what the heck I was doing and I still think that to this day, but after a few days I got the hang of things. At the beginning, I enjoyed the daily challenge of beating someone I beat before and experiencing new things with new people along the way!

Some Strategy Tips by Lady J

Have you ever been defeated by someone who’s level was significantly lower than yours and thought “What the heck is going on?” You have fallen victim to a strategy used by several players that is commonly referred to as “Low-level high-stats”. How this works is, a player attacks someone, then runs from the fight, loosing all of their EXP. By resetting their EXP, they are able to stay the level that they currently are…well….for the entire round if they choose to.

The opposite of this would, of course, to level up quickly, without caring what your stats are. Is there anything positive about this approach? If you are aiming to get to the higher level items before anyone else does, this is the way to do it. You can corner the market on weapons or potions and charge whatever you like….for a while at least. And if you love those peaches floating in green Jell-o that the hospital cafeteria serves…not to mention the sexy hospital gowns…then this would be the way to go.

“So, what’s the point?” you may ask? It’s simple. When you successfully attack a player whose level is higher than yours, you gain more stats in strength and guard than if their level is the same or lower. This is handy if you like attack players more than you like to train at the gym, or if you just like to surprise unsuspecting “big dog” players by beating up on them.

Before you decide this is a wonderful idea, there are a couple of things to remember. A low level means that you won’t have access to the cities and crimes that open up as your level increases. It’s important to be in a gang or at least have one go-to person who will buy you items from the upper level shops. Also, the higher your level, the more brave you have and the more opportunity to commit crimes or train your henchman. With some of the new changes to the games, level will come into play more and more…new classes…not to mention the “workshop” option that is just debuting.

To successfully pull this strategy off, you must make sacrifices. Is it worth it? Well…that’s up to you…

A Bite on MySpace Story: By Convinced

Upon getting my personal life back under control, I started getting back online and playing Jailhouse Life again, although never fully got back into it as had fallen behind so far. I was clicking around one day on promo apps and had seen an advertisement for Bite so figured I’d check it out since I sometimes felt I was part vampire considering I normally stayed up half the night…oh and of course I love to Bite…lol.

Bite MySpace ApplicationAnyways, I added the app and started talking with people and working on stats. I joined a gang (XxXDarkXxX) which was ran by Dark Lotus and Nupps (whom when I first started went by a different name). I enjoyed being part of the #1 gang around and did as much extra attacking as I possibly could for my gang. I stayed around a level 10 at the time and continued to work on stats. Then ….. my computer crashed ……

After a few months, I built a new computer and decided to get back on Bite. Of course I was kicked from the Dark gang and had noticed they had started to fall in respect. xXxNightxXx was now the #1 gang. I decided to go ahead and create Phelpsco Warriors gang. I struggled at first trying to get members being such a low respected gang. The ones that did join, didn’t do anything. Finally after having the gang for over a month, and putting in crazy amounts of attacks to keep my gang from being wiped out, I took in a few members whom actually helped attack. Two of which are still in my gang….my current VP BL~Dominatrix~BL whom at the time was peanutbutter….and BLEldraculBL.

Phelpsco Warriors continued to bring in new recruits and continued to rise in respect. The gang was rising quite rapidly and was fast to make its name known…Phelpsco Warriors later changed its name and is now BloodLine.

We have made some great friends and I, personally, actually speak to some outside of the game now. Bite has always had a great group of members and normally were able to be friendly with even our biggest war rivals.

BloodLine continued to grow and continued to quickly rise in respect. After a while, we decided to form a training gang… BloodLine Training. My VP at the time went to become the President of it. (BL~Athena~BL) There we will continue to help the new players with learning the game and also to get to where they need to be to be able to succeed within this game.

Although we’ve had many people that we’ve became friends with or that were at least respectful to us, we’ve had our share that didn’t like us so well. We’ve had major gangs kick everyone and disband cause stated didn’t want to help us gain more respect…we’ve had people put bounties on us for “keeping their attack logs in the red”….we’ve had people put bounties out trying to make us think it was coming from our allies….we’ve had people be friendly to us while all at the same time planning to get people to join up to take us down! Lol…we are a gang whom most like, but still has plenty of dislike towards us because of our quick respect climb. We of course are, at this time, the #1 gang now. Will we always be there? Not sure but will sure try to hold our spot….Will the other gangs that plan to take us out be successful? Maybe…but not without a good fight!

Wanna watch the reign of BloodLine or watch to see if the others plan to take over will be successful? Join Bite….Vampire Wars today to find out!
